Joseph King
Joseph started his journey to a dance career
in 2009 when he auditioned and was accepted into Manatee School of The Arts at age 17.
After training for a year, he then auditioned
and was accepted into The Florida School for The Arts with a full paid tuition scholarship.
Joseph then decided to join the Tampa Ballet
Theatre as a company member. Post season with Tampa Ballet, Joseph moved on with The Brandon Ballet Company. Shortly thereafter Joseph followed in the footsteps of his mother, joining Dancing Wheels Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
Joseph decided to step away from dancingfor a few years realizing later, dance was just as important to him as breathing, it was his life. He began to look for a way back in.Joseph is now a full-time faculty member teaching at Sarasota Dance Academy. All these paths in life have led Mr. King to Azara Ballet. Where he has found himself at home looking forward to the future.
